In regard to primary and secondary education, in , Clifford J. Levy of The New York Times wrote, “Moscow has some strong public schools, but the system as a whole is dispiriting, in part because it is being corroded by the corruption that is a post-Soviet scourge. Parents often pay bribes to get their children admitted to better public schools.
There are additional payoffs for good grades. The Moscow Metro system is famous for its art, murals , mosaics , and ornate chandeliers. It started operation in and immediately became the centrepiece of the transportation system. More than that it was a Stalinist device to awe and reward the populace, and give them an appreciation of Soviet realist art. It became the prototype for future Soviet large-scale technologies.
Lazar Kaganovich was in charge; he designed the subway so that citizens would absorb the values and ethos of Stalinist civilisation as they rode. The artwork of the 13 original stations became nationally and internationally famous. For example, the Sverdlov Square subway station featured porcelain bas-reliefs depicting the daily life of the Soviet peoples, and the bas-reliefs at the Dynamo Stadium sports complex glorified sports and the physical prowess of the powerful new “Homo Sovieticus” Soviet man.
The metro was touted as the symbol of the new social order—a sort of Communist cathedral of engineering modernity. The Britons called for tunneling instead of the “cut-and-cover” technique, the use of escalators instead of lifts, and designed the routes and the rolling stock.
Today, the Moscow Metro comprises twelve lines, mostly underground with a total of stations. The Metro is one of the deepest subway systems in the world; for instance, the Park Pobedy station, completed in , at 84 metres ft underground, has the longest escalators in Europe. The Moscow Metro is the busiest metro system in Europe, as well as one of the world’s busiest metro systems, serving about ten million passengers daily ,, people every month.
In , the authorities launched a new circle metro railway that contributed to solving transportation issues, namely daily congestion at Koltsevaya Line. Due to the treatment of Metro stations as possible canvas for art, characterized by the fact that workers of Moscow would get to see them every day, many Stalin-era metro stations were built in different “custom” designs where each station’s design would be, initially, a massive installation on a certain theme.
For example, Elektrozavodskaya station was themed solely after nearby lightbulb factory and ceramic ribbed lightbulb sockets ; [] the tradition of “Grand Designs” and, basically, decorating metro stations as single-themed installations, was restored in late Moscow’s metro is one of the world’s busiest, handling 2.

Many of these routes are doubled by a trolleybus route and have trolley wires over them.
With the total line length of almost kilometres miles of a single wire, 8 depots, routes, and vehicles, the Moscow trolleybus system was the largest in the world.
But municipal authority, headed by Sergey Sobyanin, began to destroy the trolleybus system in Moscow in due the planned replacement of trolleybuses by electric buses. In Moscow trolleybus system has only 4 depots and dozens of kilometers of unused wires.
Almost all trolleybus wires inside Garden Ring Sadovoe Koltso were cut in — due to the reconstruction of central streets “Moya Ulitsa”. Opened on November 15, , it is also the world’s 6th oldest operating trolleybus system. In the vehicle companies Kamaz and GAZ have won the Mosgortrans tender for delivering electric buses and 62 ultra-fast charging stations to the city transport system.
The manufacturers will be responsible for the quality and reliable operation of the buses and charging stations for the next 15 years. The city will be procuring only electric buses as of , replacing the diesel bus fleet gradually. According to expectations, Moscow will become the leader amongst the European cities in terms of electric and gas fuel share in public transport by All bus stations and terminals of Moscow are now connected to free Wi-Fi. As much as 48 hot spots were installed there.
On November 26, , the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin took part in the ceremony to open the cable car above the Moskva River. The journey from the well-known viewpoint on Vorobyovy Gory to Luzhniki Stadium will last for five minutes instead of 20 minutes that one would have to spend on the same journey by car. The cable car will work every day from 11 a. The cable car is meters 2, ft long. It was built to transport 1, passengers per hour in all weathers.
There are 35 closed capsules designed by Porsche Design Studio to transport passengers. The booths are equipped with media screens, LED lights, hooks for bikes, skis, and snowboards. Moscow has an extensive tram system, which first opened in Trams still remain important in some districts as feeders to Metro stations. Some routes used to connect downtown with sleep districts, like route 3. In addition, tram advocates have suggested that the new rapid transit services metro to City, Butovo light metro, Monorail would be more effective as at-grade tram lines and that the problems with trams are only due to poor management and operation, not the technical properties of trams.

This is used by some suburban trains. The Moscow Central Circle is a kilometre-long 34 mi urban-metro railway orbital line that encircles historical Moscow. It was built alongside Little Ring of the Moscow Railway , taking some of its tracks into itself as well.
MOZD is integrated as “Line 14 of Moscow Metro”, and, while using railway-sized trains, can be perceived as “S-train-design circle line”. There is one zero-fee interchange for any ticket used on Moscow Metro station less than 90 minutes before entering an MCC station and vice versa: a passenger of MCC gets 1 free interchange to Moscow Metro within 90 minutes after entering MCC station.

Also noting the restriction of religious figural imagery in Islam lead to a strong use of artistic depictions of flowers and plants. Solid evidence from early 12th and 13th century Muslim astrology is featured in the back of the manuscript nearly identical to “Bowl with Courtly and Astrological Signs” from The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

I am not sure whether someone mentioned this previously or not. While am going through each page and illustration of plants and human, kind of beings were done by some amateur painter.
I believe this manuscript was prepared by more than 2 people. One person might have illustrated the picture that was painted on the page and the other person simply drew the pictures. This logic made me to think that- How come a beautiful handwriting person can be a bad painter? And also I see some imprints of paintings on the backside of each page, it clearly indicates that paintings were done 1st and context about the paintings were wrote later on.
I also felt that some of the flower paintings resembled that native Asian flowers esp one picture resembled the LOTUS flower leaf. I am not sure what was written in that book but it clearly says the manuscript was prepared by more than 1 person.
Reviewer: onethousandtwohundredeightynine – favorite favorite favorite favorite – May 31, Subject: I’ve got a point to make I’ve been reading the book and I see that it’s all about plants, to me it has nothing to do with astronomy or stars, a bit of imagination yes but nothing too far from reality. So what are the stars if not stars But also we start to see stars depicted with plants, these stars I believe to be seeds or seedlings. So when I then see the circles with firstly a face between two half moons I clearly see the moon cycle and same for the sun clearly depicted.
It is the older story in human history there are some crops that are planted at growing moon and some other have to be after the day of frost.
The circles are the cycles, the plants are plants and the women are the carriers of the seed be it the pods or the pollen etc. The part where there are many stars in a circle to me it could mean a few things like plant spacing or number of seeds that each star conforms to.
To me this entire book is only and solely about plants and plant physiology. I can recognise many plants with a bit of imagination. There’s a great explanation on roots for each depiction as well as the top text is also depicted with the top of the plants. Also there are word sequences that I noticed repeat at roots and some that repeat at the tops which makes me think that if one possibly tries to match symbols to images without applying a meaning to them and just imagining what they may refer to in relation to the picture it kind of flows in a weird way hard to explain without sounding looney but this book is a big puzzle it not was meant to be translated but to be understood beyond language Reviewer: caxa – favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite – April 26, Subject: I deciphered the manuscript Riabets M.
Reviewer: Tempest – favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite – February 7, Subject: Another possible explanation If you analyze the overall context of the writings and it’s accompanying drawings, you can see that plants and women play into a theme.
Finally, some man discovered and understood how women think and their minds work. He must’ve immediately thought to himself, “I’d better write this down for all men everywhere. It easily explains the female mind. Was it written by a left hand person or right hand one? I think they used some kind of prisme that would reflect to other characters. Reviewer: Kaliel – favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite – January 5, Subject: Um depoimento sobre Jacobus a Tepenec Jacobus Horcick e tudo o que eu sei.
Voynich descobriu o livro Bem, temos um dever a fazer a analisar esse manuscrito direito. Reviewer: Ayie – favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite – September 28, Subject: My view on it I took a look at every page closely I hope I can read this and understand more..
The manuscript has a map of Sortavala and depicts plants that are only found in bogs in cold peat-accumulating areas. Its artist s painted plants the way an herbalist would–somebody gathering them for a use. Much of the text is a list of overwhelmingly Finno-Uralic names with some Dutch, Danish, French, and German tossed in now and then.
The implements the gravid women are holding seem to center around midwifery. Similar artifacts have been found in Karelia Sofporog in The last pages feature surnames begun with a star and followed by first names. Baltic Finns have a tradition of banya or spa, and Finnish women have traditionally given birth in the sauna.
Thus, the manuscript never was meant to have anything to do with alchemy. While the manuscript is authentic, the mystery surrounding it has been fabricated. Email ambushprinting gmail. Sadly, what appears to be a beautiful and interesting fake alchemical text in the spagyric tradition. Please understand, I’m not saying it’s a forgery – but a fake book; it has no notable connection to the alchemical process beyond the rather dreamlike connectivity of the unidentifiable plants in the plates.
Or perhaps it’s an allegory of some kind with no known provenience, but that’s doubtful – somewhere there should be parallel myth, tale or parable – yet unfortunately, there just isn’t. Logically, if there’s a real code in the text, despite it’s assumed complexity it would illuminate the paintings – but what could it possibly be shedding light on if there is no known cultural, mystical, philosophical, religious or scientific paradigm to compare it against?
For years now, people have been complaining that the alchemists were a pack of wolves operating in a den of iniquity; perhaps here’s some solid proof that at least one of them actually was. Yet for all of that, it’s a beautiful work of art. Funny how we sometimes look for meaning even where there just might not be any. The act of which, of course, compels us subjectively to impart meaning on the object in question ever stare at clouds? That’s the very definition of “art”. I feel like the end, with very few pictures, seems to be a written conclusion of whoever wrote it, has come up to. Reviewer: dustylane4 – – February 11, Subject: Plant Grafting I may be completely wrong, but it appears to be a volume on grafting.
The roots of all the illustrated plants seem to become more attached as the manuscript progresses. The root systems are separated in the early pages and seem to become connected as the the manuscript continues.
This observation may simply point out a different illustrator, but seem to be a journal of progression of grafting as many of the plants are unidentifiable. The astrology connections may simply be a guess into the connection of plant growth and celestial positions. Eh, I know I seen some of those symbols somewhere but not in any spoken language that is for sure. Reviewer: sirmerlin – favorite favorite favorite favorite – November 28, Subject: Consider this If languages have a way of rolling off the tongue when spoken properly; there should be some sort of rhythm to it. Picture instead of words these are musical chords. From my deduction of the first 30 pages there seems to be a pattern of the symbols indicating three “states” per symbol: these would be minor, mean and major.
In English there are two symbols for each letter in the alphabet. Lets assume three things: there are letters, capitol letters and bold font letters indicating the importance of each letter. Each symbol has two characters. Every “word”, indicated by spaces, is a musical chord.
For the first 30 or so pages I can see rythmatic patterns. To me that would indicate either poetry, music or some other format displaying structure. VSDC is a full-featured free video editing tool that you can install on Windows. A fair warning though: This program might be a little hard to use for beginners because of the number of features and menus. However, if you poke around for a while and play with your videos within the editor, you’ll find that it’s not quite as daunting as it seemed when you first opened it.
There’s even a wizard you can run to make things easier. Use it to add lines, text, and shapes, as well as charts, animations, images, audio, and subtitles. Plus, as any good video editor should, VSDC can export videos to a variety of file formats. These are optional, but they may come in handy in certain projects.
