There is nothing listed in the Control Surface Preferences. There is nothing listed in the Controller Assignments. How do I manually set up my S90ES as a control surface and delete the other delte that I made by mistake? I have exhausted all options in Logic X to add my keyboard as a Control Surface. Maybe fre it’s not on the list then you can’t use it but the online help says different.

Then don’t worry about it at all, it just means you’ve selected an audio tracks and therefore you can’t really “play” the track with a MIDI keyboard. Or do you mean the actual LCD screen on your physical keyboard? Create a new empty project, 1 software instrument track, choose a piano patch, play your keyboard: can you hear the piano?
