Sorry that you are having problems with your password, and this is something that is not expected;. First: We have published the ‘Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant’ SaRA tool that can diagnose and fix some of the common password problems and other issues when starting Outlook.

Second: If your problem is not solved with SaRA, I would recommend that you clear your credential cache by the following:. Finally if that does not work, please open a support call to diagnose what might be going on especially with 2 factor auth.

Are you also using Multi-factor authentication? Does the authentication prompt happen when configuring the profile or after you have it configured?
